Infographic compares vocal range of male and female singers

Interactive table shows the grades achieved by 77 international artists

Who sings better? If this question is common at bar tables (or online, in times of quarantine), the discussion always lacked statistical data. Now, that won't be a problem.

The website Concert Hotels created an interactive infographic that compares the vocal range of 77 international artists. In addition, data was entered on the lowest and highest notes struck in music recordings.

Culture moment: vocal extension is the measurement of a voice from the lowest note to the highest it can reach, without going out of tune. According to this range, male and female singers are classified as baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano and other classifications.

After seeing the graph, one thing remains: Axl Rose, who knew, huh?
