Created by ACMI in partnership with DreamWorks Animation, carried out by Colecta Produções and Rua 34 in alliance with DOM Cultural and promoted by Fever, this exhibition celebrates more than 25 years of one of the most acclaimed animation studios in the world.

DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition – A Journey from Sketch to Screen is divided into four parts (Character, Story, World and Drawing Room). This experience offers a unique opportunity to learn about the creative processes behind some of DreamWorks Animation's most beloved productions.

Among the objects on display are framed artworks, unique 3D character models, large-scale models, music books, wall graphics and other never-before-seen materials. Visitors can also experience Face Poser, an interactive attraction where they can manipulate the facial features of their favorite DreamWorks Animation character and watch behind-the-scenes interviews with studio artists and filmmakers recorded especially for this exhibit.

Other exciting experiences can be had during this immersion. In the History section, which addresses how the original inspiration turns into a feature-length narrative, visitors will find a huge digital storyboard and can watch filmmaker Conrad Vernon executing, step by step, from the script, the famous scene “Interrogating the Gingy” from Shrek.

The largest section of the exhibition, World, highlights the distinct, believable and unique worlds created in each film. The wing explores the collaborative work of directors, production designers and conceptual artists in creating fantastical, authentic and believable environments. One of the highlights of the exhibition is the Flight of the Dragon attraction, a hair-raising 180-degree projection created especially for the exhibition that allows visitors to fly over Berk Island and experience what it's like to fly on the back of the dragon Toothless.
