BaianaSystem launches “Reza Forte”, a new single to get rid of our zikas

The troupe BaianaSystem, trio headed by Russian singer Passapusso, has just released a single to clear the paths of the year that begins. It’s “Reza Forte”, a well-polished, well-crafted track like the ones the group knows how to do so well – with the blessing of producer Daniel Ganjaman. Here, as on Baiana's previous albums, the electronic culture of the DJs joins hands with the leathers of Brazilian music and the designs of the Bahian guitar, and what emerges from this encounter is hypnotically danceable – as if in a trance. A theme that, by the way, is in the lyrics of the song, which talks about African ancestry in Brazil and the resistance of indigenous and mainly black identities.

With the participation of rapper BNegão (ex-Planet Hemp), “Reza Forte” opens work for the release of the album “Oxeaxeexu” (oxe-axé-exu), which will be released in three parts or acts: the first now February 12th ( “Navio Pirata”), the second on March 5th (“Instrumental Recital”) and the third on March 26th (“América do Sol”).

The clip that supports the single It was filmed on the island of Itaparica, directed by Belle de Melo, produced by CAVE, cinematography by Daniel Primo and executive produced by Marcelo Cintra and Rafael Kent, and is strong and at the same time sophisticated, like the music.
