What are Style References?
Style references like –sref allow you to use the style of one image to influence the creation of another. This feature is particularly useful when you want to maintain consistency across a series of images, or when you are trying to replicate a specific artistic style without incorporating the original image content.
How to Use Style References
To use a style reference:
- Include a Style Reference URL: Add
--sref URL
to your prompt, where “URL” is the link to the image whose style you want to replicate. - Adjust Style Weight: Use the parameter
--sw
to define how strongly the referenced style should influence your new image.- Increase Influence: Set a higher style weight (up to 1000) to make the style more dominant.
- Decrease Influence: Set a lower style weight (closer to 0, with 100 being the default) to reduce the impact of the style.
- Multiple Style References: You can include multiple URLs with the command
--sref
if you want to merge styles from different fonts.
Example 01
For example, if you asked GM to imagine a couple holding hands in front of their house, you would write something like:
a young couple holding hands in front of their house
And you would receive this type of images:
No style reference
With style reference
Mas se você adicionasse a imagem abaixo (de um desenho de criança com giz de cêra) como referência de estilo “–sref [URL]”
/imagine prompt: a young couple holding hands in front of their house –sref https://images-ext-1.discordapp.net/external/5XZp5R6bTpKjztDUIcGaRAQfhoAGAENtVRqJXzXojXo/https/previews.123rf.com/images/helenfield/helenfield1805/helenfield180500025/100972649-happy-boy-and-girl-man-and-woman-kids-drawing-style-illustration-crayon-art-house-summer-sun.jpg?format=webp&width=2326&height=1644
The image you would receive would look like this:
Example 02
An engineer adjusting a machine.

This enhanced control over style allows for greater precision in creative projects, making it a powerful tool for designers, artists, and anyone involved in creating visual content.
