Classic Mortal Kombat commercial from 1993 inspires trailer for “It's in our blood”

The film stars Dave Bautista and is scheduled for release on September 19th

On September 19th, “It's in our blood” premieres, a new live action film inspired by and part of the saga of the classic game Mortal Kombat. And as one of the main pieces of communication, a trailer was released by Warner Bros. Games this week with different language than the traditional one – for a special reason.

More than telling part of the story, as such content usually does, the material is a reinterpretation of “Mortal Monday”, an iconic commercial that launched the very first edition of the game, in September 1993. The piece, in fact, is the first to bring the unmistakable cry of “Mortal Kombaaat”, even used in the franchise’s theme song, with the voice of actor Kyle Wyatt.

Starring Dave Bautista, actor, fighter and bodybuilder, the film is directed by Tom Kuntz and photographed by Matthew Labatique, from “A Star Is Born”. Above, you see the trailer and, below, you can remember the classic MK1 launch commercial.
