Em 1980, Chuck Berry deu uma entrevista para a revista “Jet Lag”. A pauta era sua influência sobre alguns sons da época, especialmente com relação ao punk e algumas similaridades e progressões que traziam o estilo de Chuck Berry em sua essência.
